We will miss you, Christopher !

After more than 25 years in Munich Christopher Magyar – the Rolls Royce of public speaking – is going back to the warmth and comfort of the United States of America.
 


 
His engagement and continuous support motivated many to join Toastmasters, and inspired those who already joined to strive for perfection in public speaking. Within the long 25 years Christopher has done incredibly much for his fellow Toastmasters and Toastmasters International:

– Toastmaster since 1991
– District Governor 2006 – 2007
– Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training 2005 – 2006
– Chairman of the Continental Council of European Toastmasters (forerunner of District 59) 1997 – 1998
– Vice Chairman of Education of the Continental Council of European Toastmasters 1995 – 1996
– Married to former District Governor 2003 – 2004 Denise Magyar
– Lobbied for the creation of District 59
– The first officer training he ever attended was the one he gave.
– Area Governor four times
– Area Governor of the Year 1993 – 1994
– Charter member of six different clubs
– Helped found five more
– Has completed the Competent Communicator program in English, German and Italian
– Is currently working on the Competent Communicator in French
– Has attended over 50 district conferences in Europe, England, Ireland and New York
– Has attended 10 Toastmasters International conventions in the U.S. and Canada
– Has won the district Humorous Speech Contest, Evaluation Contest and Table Topics Contest
– Has coached District speech-contest winners
– Has judged the World Championship of Public Speaking twice
– Loves the music of Beethoven, Chopin and Francis Poulenc
– Likes to cook and bake
– Now branching out into stand-up comedy and storytelling
– Received a Presidential Citation from the President of Toastmasters International in August 2015
